Club Facilities
Carshalton Rifle Club has its own indoor 6 lane 25 metre range, which is used intensively for a large number of target shooting disciplines. The range has controlled lighting and air conditioning, so that it is comfortable all year round. Targets can be shot at distances from 6 yards (standard for air pistols) to 25 metres for live fire rifles and pistols. Two types of Turning target are used, to accommodate gallery rifles and pistols in calibres from .22 up to .455, and revolver air pistols on a dueling target system.

A 25 yard running deer target system has recently been installed and an ultraviolet lighting system allows moonlight shooting simulation. A crossbow target system is also available.

Crossbow RangeThe range is used for many disciplines including, air pistols and rifles, both high precision and sporting. Live fire .22 match rifle, gallery rifle, semi-auto and under lever, from .22 up to .455LC. Nitro proofed muzzle loading handguns , Long barreled hand guns. Hand pistol crossbows and full size sport bows up to 100 pound pull.

Club InteriorOur secure car park is covered by an external camera system. The Club house is comfortable andis also accessible for disabled members. Nearby is a kitchen area for light refreshments and a snack bar. There is a video system that can be used for training or entertainment. In the summer a secure covered patio is available and is much used for BAR-B-Q's The range is fully accessible for all disabled shooters and is provided with wheelchair ramps, an adjacent high security armoury stores all our equipment. The reception desk \ sales desk is continually manned by at least one of the club officers, who can keep an eye on everything that happens on and off of the range via audio equipped CCTV.

Black Powder ShootingThe club is involved in a lot of external activities, including Black powder (gunpowder) pistol shoots from familiar .44 up to an enormous .63". Black powder rifle shooting using caliber's up to .557", long range rifle shoots at distances up to 1200 yards using a variety of caliber's from .223 to 7.62. Match rifle shoots on the Commonwealth Games Range, all electronic targets at 50 metres, using .22LR. Clay Pigeon Shooting on a modern CPSA Target school range with electrically operated targets including full sporting, Down the line, Automatic ball trap, and Skeet. We have recently aquired our own Hunter Field Target site
(Spring 2005) for those people who are interested in field target airgun shooting.


In short, we offer an astounding 540 shooting sessions per year.
We can provide ALL the equipment you need for your chosen area of targetry, including of course ALL the guns and bows you will need, you may of course use your own if suitable.

Coaching and Tuition, and Safety instruction is continuously available for ALL disciplines at all times, and we are very proud of the large number of qualified Range Conducting Officers, Range Officers MLAGB, Instructors and Coaches that we have. We actually have more than any other club in the Southern Home Counties.
